Cylinder head re surface skim Bridgeport milling machine fly cutter
My new little venture ,rented garage Bridgeport mill and a Colchester Bantam lathe ,this video is of my new 11" fly cutter armed with a carbide bar taking the first cleanup cut across a Fiat Punto head …
I am in TN10 and really interested in learning about lathes and milling.
im in the southeast….tn39
Where in the UK are you?
I charge £25 if the head is bought to me ,if i collect and deliver localy it 35,returned in a couple of hours
What is the price ?
It’s a home made fly cutter made from a 12″ diameter piece of 2″ thick ally mounted on a QC int 30 face mill arbour with a solid carbide boring bar for the cutter..it is very effective!..if you’re interested I can supply these to fit any spindle type r8 or whatever
what sort of attachment is that you are using? and does it just go in the standard R8 collet or is an R8 shank? very cool.
mmmmmm I bet you were popular!!
Nice work. I worked in a custom machine shop that dabbled in automotive machining. You should have seen the night I bounced some poor kid’s GT40 aluminum heads off the shop floor.
It is held down with bed clamps
Ehm, how do you tighten the head at the mill table? sorry for my english
